Types of Heaters

Fan Heaters are among the products available here. Some models emit a little but of noise, but there are quieter options, too. They are usually electrically powered, but other heat sources like kerosene, fuel, gas, and hot water may be used as well.

General Heaters are the most common sources of heat for rooms. These are electrically-powered and are either ‘radiant’ or ‘convection’ types. Convection heaters are energy-efficient for larger rooms, while radiant heaters (otherwise called 'reflective heaters') generate heat using infrared rays. Radiant heaters are best for smaller rooms that need heat for a few hours, and they are significantly quieter to operate then convection heaters. More importantly, they are affordable to run.

Fan heaters are a variation of the convection heater. It produces direction-specific heat. A stronger option is the panel heater, which combines the heat-producing methods of a convection and radiant heater. Panel heaters heat up faster and spreads heat evenly throughout a room.

Well-ventilated and larger areas could do well with gas heaters, which could either be vented (for outdoor use) or vented (located next to a wall, much safer to use). Gas heaters can use kerosene, natural gas, kerosene forced air, or propane.
